Cybersecurity Connections helps internationally trained IT professionals to find work in Canada, specifically in the emerging field of cybersecurity.

Delivered in partnership with Seneca College, the program includes the following courses:

  • Principles of Information Security
  • Operating System Security – Windows
  • Ethical Hacking and Network Defense
  • Wireless & Mobile Device Security and
  • Computer Forensics

In addition to industry-specific academic training, Cybersecurity Connections also provides you with knowledge about Canadian workplace culture, connections to employers, coaching on job search, and mentorship.

Program Components

  • Academic training from a recognized educational institute
  • One-on-one support from an employment consultant
  • Job search & job development support: including resume and interview preparation
  • Referral to job openings and connections to employers
  • Access to mentors and mentoring events
  • Business and workplace communication training in a Canadian context
  • Job retention support

Program Fees

  • There are no fees associated with this program
  • All books and materials are included or available on loan to participants at no additional cost

To be eligible, applicants must have:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in computer science or information technology (evaluated by WES/University of Toronto/ ICAS)
  • Minimum of 2 years of international work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (Computer or Electronics)
  • A minimum of CLB level 7
  • Permanent Residents (PR), Landing immigrants or Convention Refugees
