The Syrian Canadian Foundation, & Jumpstart – Refugee Talent, are thrilled to announce the launch of HER Startup (HomErun Refugee Startup). This program will create sustainable improvement in the quality of life for visible minority refugee women.

The program will run in 3 phases: intake/referrals, training and incubation. Program participants will gain access to valuable business training provided by key corporate partners & venture capital. A group of 5 to 10 graduate women from this program at the end of phase two will be chosen to brainstorm one startup idea that will be co-owned by them, in our attempt to go the extra mile and to pilot a new approach of entrepreneurship programming. The newcomer women team will receive at least $100,000 in seed funding and access to a dedicated business consultant to help them build their startup and propel them to success during the incubation phase of the program.

Eligibility: All women who arrived in Canada as refugees in the past 5 years, and currently have a CLB English level 4 and above.
