Sheridan’s LINC Program is a FREE language instruction program for newcomers to Canada.

Sheridan’s LINC Program Offers

  • Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) from 3 to 8
  • Programming during the day and part-time courses in the evening
  • Training to develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and knowledge of English grammar

The LINC program provides

  • An academic approach and standard suited to internationally trained professionals
  • A dedicated language lab with Internet access and ESL software
  • Separate skills for each CLB (Listening/Speaking focus and Reading/Writing focus)
  • Skill development focusing on either listening, speaking and grammar and/or reading, writing and grammar
  • Access to Sheridan services including academic and career advisement, and library access

Program Eligibility

LINC is FREE of charge if you are:

  • A Permanent Resident or
  • A Convention Refugee (Notice of Decision) or
  • Government Assisted Refugee (GAR) or
  • Privately Sponsored Refugee (PSR)

New program delivery intakes usually occur every January, May & September
