The Youth Job Connection program, organized by Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto, offers intensive support and opportunities through:

  • Paid 60 hours of pre-employment workshops
  • Opportunities to develop employability skills through job placement and mentorship
  • Assistance with transitioning to further education or employment

Youth Job Connections (YJC) may be able to assist you if you would describe yourself as one (or more) of the following:

  • Between 15 – 29 years old
  • Currently unemployed with no source of income
  • Not in school or enrolled in an apprenticeship program
  • Coping with mental or physical disabilities
  • Identify as indigenous or as a racialized individual
  • Living in high priority neighbourhood, unstable housing or houselessness
  • Identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community
  • Are an OW or ODSP recipient
  • Have had a conflict with the law


  • 15 to 29 years old;
  • Out of work, education or skill training;
  • Facing a combination of barriers such as substance addiction, houselessness, LGBTQ+, newcomers, racialized and/or a person coping with disability.
